Since this is my first Thanksgiving with my blog, ( see below– on the list), I thought I would be a little insightful or maybe introspective and post my Thanksgiving thankful list every year. I’m not going to give the list a definite number of items. Some years it may be short and some years, it may be extremely long. Hopefully, the long items list will definitely outnumber the short list of thankful things. e
My Thankful List
Of course I’ll start with God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit who guides me ever so quietly when I listen. I’m thankful for my Catholic Faith which gives me direction in my life.
Next, is my husband of 35 years. I’m know he has thrown up his hands in exasperation many times throughout these years. I’m sure this year I broke the record. t Thanksgiving thankful list
My daughters, K and A. I can’t believe you’re all grown up. Being your mom is the Best Job I’ve had. It seems like only a few days ago, I would lie in bed and read stories to you both every night, AND be the first one to fall asleep. Thanksgiving thankful list
My Mom, who was only child, but raised 7 children with so much love in her heart. The kindest, most loving person you could ever meet. When you walk into my mom’s house- you automatically become part of our family. Thanksgiving thankful list
My brothers and sisters, some live in town, and some don’t. But when we get together, there’s always LOTS of Love and Laughter . I’m very fortunate to have such loving siblings and I think that’s a tribute to our mom. I’m thankful for my nieces and nephews– they keep me young at heart. Thanksgiving thankful list
Friends, both old and new . We’re Blessed to have such wonderful friends. As I’m getting older, I want to take that extra time to be a good friend.
My Health, I know it’s a cliche – ” if you have you’re health, you have everything”. But it really is true. Sure I have my daily aches and pains, especially after working at the greenhouse.
While I’m talking Health, I’m thankful for losing about 25 lbs this year. That makes 50 lbs in 3 years. I’m halfway to my Hawaiian vacation. Walking and Awareness of choices is what making the difference.
My Home, now that the girls are out of college, we can spend some $$ on remodeling. Beautiful rooms, but also working on beautiful atmosphere of love.
Retiring from my very stressful hospital job- that was a huge goal. Some days I still can’t believe I did it! (those are usually the days I’m paying bills)
My new Online Adventure with My Blog and other Social Media projects. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Brenda Ster and Windy Lawson of Socialite Suite, Hope Hanson-Baker, of Blogging Bootcamp fame and all the Socialite and Sassy Sisters I met both online and in person at Sassy Con.
My sense of humor, Live, Love, but through it all– you gotta Laugh !
Dreams, but I’m working on living, enjoying and being thankful of the moment.
And THANKS to you for Reading my Blog
Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving
